Booth 107 For the nomadic peoples of Kyrgyzstan, sheep’s wool is omnipresent. Ala-kiyiz is one of the oldest Kyrgyz carpet making methods. Farzana Sharshenbieva uses this method to make felted apparel, preserving an ancient technique that is in danger of disappearing entirely.
