Yes to treatment

Regarding the article (“Best model in the country by far,” Nov. 20): Residential treatment centers for people with mental illness are long overdue. Congratulations to Connie Elizabeth Vigil for bringing this to the attention of lawmakers and to Sen. Bill Tallman, D-Albuquerque, for supporting her efforts. It will be worth every penny the state spends to provide long-term care for those who desperately need it. Nancy Murphy Santa Fe
