Canyon Road Contemporary Art

A ballast on Canyon Road, Canyon Road Contemporary Art has served collectors for 35 years. It now represents a stable of 25 artists, including painter Noah Desmond. Drawing inspiration from nature, Desmond builds pigment with his palette knife and brush, resulting in multilayered, textural works that exude depth, energy and emotion. He wields his tools with eye-catching paint. “Paintings are like journals— depictions of where you are in life and where you're going,” he said. His impressionistic style leans into abstraction, yet his works balance representation, whether he takes as his subject a water lily pond, a still life of a vase of flowers or a stand of aspens.
