With Santa Fe Pro Musica co-founder Carol Redman serving as music director for the 2022–2023 season, the organization plans another multifaceted fall. On Nov. 17 at 7 p.m., it presents the Schumann String Quartet and Brahms. In December the organization launches its Bach Festival. The month kicks off with soloist Colin Jacobsen on violin, performing a two-part concert of the German composer’s sonatas and partitas on Dec. 21 and 22, both at 7 p.m. vocal soloists perform the comical Coffee Cantata on Dec. 23 and 24, both at 7 p.m. Rounding out the month, look for the Pro Musica Bach Ensemble’s concerto performances on Dec. 29 and 30, both at 7 p.m., with Colin Jacobsen leading. Pro Musica launches the Near Year hosting the Danish String Quartet, which performs classical selections and Nordic folk music on Jan. 22 at 3 p.m. January also brings Pro Musica’s Winter Orchestra Concert on Jan. 28 and 29, at 7 p.m. and 3 p.m., respectively. The concert showcases the organization’s Women of Distinction Initiative artist Sarah Ioannides; she conducts a performance that includes a newly commissioned work by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Aaron Jay Kernis.
