MUSEUM OF INDIAN ARTS AND CULTURE

Before it begins its cross-country travels, Grounded in Clay: The Spirit of Pueblo Pottery (through May 29, 2023) spotlights more than 100 historic and contemporary clay works. Some 60 Native American potters, other artists, and community members curated the selections. The museum also displays select vessels in Isometric Design in Pueblo Pottery (through March 12, 2023). It continues to honor Virgil Ortiz (Cochiti) as its 2022 living treasure with ReVOlution (through April 1, 2023). The exhibition surveys works from his four-decade career. This year has been a standout for the multimedia artist; the New Mexico History Museum and the Museum of fantasy-themed creations in current exhibitions.
