Fariza Sheisheyeva & Svetlana Sheisheyeva

Booth 148 Sisters Svetlana and Fariza Sheisheyeva started Art Group Saima to reflect ancient traditions and a distinctive style of weaving. Deeply influenced by the nomadic past of Kyrgyzstan, Fariza is inspired by dreams of ancient regional petroglyphs. (Saima is the Kyrgyz word for petroglyph.) From sheep’s wool, Saima creates animal figures, wall hangings and hats.
