Booth 9 With just under a million residents, Bishkek is the largest city in Kyrgyzstan and is home to textile artist Erkebu Djumagulova. In Bishkek and Kyrgyzstan in general, felted wool goods have long been prized for their warmth, softness and easy transport. Djumagulova is known for creating beautifully and traditionally costumed dolls handmade from sheep’s wool felt, mostly sourced from nearby breeders.
