Booth 63 In homes in Sohag, Assuit and Cairo, intergenerational groups of women artisans, aged 16 to 70, gather to preserve a social and artistic Egyptian tradition. Assuit is an ancient form of metal thread embroidery that was popularized in the 19th century. The income earned by TAWC members affords them financial independence.
