Booth 74 The mopa-mopa is a shrub-like tree that grows in the highland jungles of the tropical Andes. Artisans use its resin to create colorful varnish designs on woodwork. The practice is threatened, however. According to UNESCO, only 10 harvesters and 36 varnish masters work with mopamopa today. Gilberto Granja is one of those masters.
