Booth 72 Tomás Bernal Cruz learned to work with river reeds as a young man growing up in the small town of San Jacinto Amilpas in Oaxaca. His grandfather, who collected and wove reeds into baskets, taught him the basic skills. But rather than making utilitarian items, Tomás preferred more whimsical subjects. He fashions toys inspired by animals and automobiles.
