WELCOME

TO THE INAUGURAL ART + SOL SANTA FE WINTER ARTS FESTIVAL

The Inaugural Art + Sol Santa Fe Winter Arts Festival

Santa Fe is a wonderful place any time of year. While the city is well known for its summer offerings of music, opera, visual arts, and literary arts and its internationally renowned art markets on the Plaza and Museum Hill, Santa Fe also provides a year-round cultural scene and world-class performing arts experiences that we want you to know about and enjoy.

Conceived of and developed in the spirit of collaboration, Art + Sol brings together arts organizations from across the city to present symphony, song, chamber music, comedy, theater, chorus, and jazz against the beautiful backdrop of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Performances take place in landmark venues, and the schedule includes a Saturday morning showcase of the vibrant arts programs for youth fostered by our community. The Art + Sol Festival also highlights Santa Fe’s galleries, hotels, and restaurants — everything that makes this city a great place to live and a year-round destination.

We look forward to meeting you at our welcome reception at Bishop’s Lodge on Monday, Feb. 13. Please take a look at the Art + Sol schedule of events and join us for a few or all of them. The first annual Art + Sol Festival is a landmark effort celebrating the rich artistic and cultural traditions of our beloved Santa Fe.

Mayor Alan Webber captured the festival well when he said, “The Art + Sol Festival is a brilliant collaboration bringing together dozens of our outstanding cultural organizations in a fresh new winter arts program. This dazzling blend of symphony, song, dance, comedy, theater, and more promises to deliver a nine-day, 10-performance celebration of Santa Fe, our vibrant community, and our unmatched hospitality as a destination for cultural tourists. I’m enormously grateful to the team that came together to create this exciting new event and salute them in their debut year!”

We thank our performing arts partners, our generous media and business partners, and the sponsors and volunteers who support Santa Fe as a vibrant cultural destination all through the year.

With gratitude for all who have helped make Art + Sol possible,

ANDRÉA CASSUTT Executive Director, Santa Fe Pro Musica

AMY IWANO Executive and Artistic Director, Performance Santa Fe

EMMA SCHERER Executive Director, Santa Fe Symphony Orchestra & Chorus
