Connecting to spirit

The works of Neo-impressionist artist Shonto Begay “visually narrate his connection to the Navajo landscape,” says the introduction to his new exhibit, Shonto Begay: Eyes of

the World. His colorful paintings communicate movement with bold strokes and swirling lines imparting energy to the canvas. Whether rendering images of everyday life or a spectacular landscape, the result is a visual connection to the spirit world intended to begin a healing journey. The exhibit runs through Oct. 10.
