HAWT stands for “Have a Wonderful Time” — and what could be more fitting for the delicious thin-crust pizzas paired with cocktails served up at the Low ‘n Slow Lowrider Bar in the downtown Hotel Chimayó. Recently launched in Santa Fe, HAWT hails from Albuquerque’s newish Sawmill Market. Pair the Norteño Pizza (topped with tomato sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, hot Italian sausage, mushrooms and green chile) with the Chimayóso Margarita, a zippy house cocktail rimmed with Chimayó chile salt, fired up with serrano-infused Espolon Reposado and then tamed with apricot liqueur and fresh lime juice. You’ll really feel the burn. A cozy patio allows for terrific people-watching.
